Laurence is putting on her trainers again! And always in aid of the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation…
Laurence? This generous amateur athlete whom we supported last year in her preparation for the #Marathon Pour Tous of the #Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024.
So next summer, Laurence will be setting off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro: a powerful symbol.
Climbing a mountain means putting one foot in front of the other, groping. It’s about surpassing yourself, accepting the unknown and submitting to the elements of nature, in the knowledge that each advance makes endurance, physical and moral strength, and acceptance of fragility all the more essential.
As with illness.
Laurence and her father already know that accompanying an Alzheimer’s patient is like climbing a mountain in the depths of a bedroom. It means moving forward a little more each day into the unknown, with the feeling that the oxygen is running out. It means adapting, finding the tools, resources and support that are essential.
Like a recruitment process, sometimes.
Climbing a mountain means packing a good dose of determination and resilience in your rucksack, so you can rise to the inevitable challenges and adapt to the unexpected. For candidates and clients alike.
Climbing to the top also means mobilising extraordinary and varied resources, bringing together a wide range of skills and expertise to create a solid, high-performance team. It means recognising each person’s talent, the value of their experience and the quality of their specific vision.
For Laurence, for each of the people we meet.
For all of us, in these different adventures, each member is essential to the collective success: climbing to the top therefore also means building a professional partnership.
So when Laurence chose to climb Africa’s highest peak (5,895 m), it was clear that her ambition had not wavered – on the contrary, to ‘knock out the biggest public health scourge’. And then of course… Mind Partners will want to support her again. And every step of the way.
Because this cause affects us all, more or less directly, and is a beacon of hope…
Because Laurence has chosen her year well: her project is part of the french Great National Cause 2025 around mental health.
Because beyond personal commitment, there’s the rollercoaster that we all experience professionally, individually and collectively.
Because Laurence believes that the mountain will be climbed, and we want to believe with her.
For all that, and maybe even more: let’s help her by taking part in her fundraising campaign.
Laurence COUTURIER has set up an online fundraising campaign on the Alvarum platform. All donations will go to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation and are tax-free for both individuals and companies. Here is the link to support her: https ://www.alvarum.com/laurencecouturier3
